My family and I have been around camping and RVing for many years. Seems we have always had a coach of one kind or another since back in the 50's. Back this last spring, I sold our Class “A” and Tag Trailer for hauling, which had several mods in, such as inverter that was on a manual transfer switch, 30 Amp that was upgraded to 50 Amp service, converter upgrade with charge wizard, out with the 12 volt house battery and in with multiple 6 volt Deep Cycle batteries, most lights were LED inside and outside and the list went on. I even remade the roof A/C covers that were no longer available. These did help bring a better selling price since it was a 1990 model coach and just the normal maintenance was enough to keep one busy.

For the past 3 years we have decided to down size and have been actively looking for a Truck camper to go in our dually. FINALLY last week I found a very nice 1997 Real Lite RL 1200 Truck Camper that is a little rough around the edges, but is structurally in great shape. The previous owner out grew the unit and was in the process of converting a school bus to a Class “A”.

So now I have my work cut out for me once again, but I look at that as just being therapy in my older years.
