Hi everyone,

My name is Dewayne. The DW and I live outside Denver Colorado.

Our rig is a 1992 Fleetwood Wilderness 24C which we purchased 3 years. Although this is our first TT is not our first camper. We owned a pickup camper for many years.

Currently I have 2 change I'm working on and 2 in mind. Last Oct. while returning home from our final trip of the year I had a tire go flat. I'm going to update all the tires on the TT, but I'm running into some headachs. I want to upgrade from a C load range tire to a D. The other change is related to my tire problem. I'm adding a TPMS to all the TT tires (as I replace them.)

The ones I am thinking of are. Cutting a hole in the upper area of the pantry wall and add a recessed shelf inside the pantry so I can slide my Satellite receiver in there to get it out of the way. The other is to add gas struts to the bottom of the bed.

That's it for now. Glad I found this site.

There is a lot of satisfaction to be derived from making the rv ing experience more enjoyable thru making mods…..I was talking to some long time friends today about buying a new camper because you don't like a shortcoming in the one you already own…..It seems that you solve one problem only to get another problem….Modding the one you are already happy with can save a lot of cash and gives you something to be proud of….

I couldn’t agree more Bob. I have been through so many RVs over the years looking for just the right one. From motorhomes to hybrids to fifth wheels to travel trailers, I owned nearly every type made. And I did all the “usual” mods to each one of them. Then one day I took a step back and said: “What the heck am I doing?”

I lost so much money on trading and modding but I didn’t think twice about it. Now, which is a record for me, I’m going on year 3 with my Thor Summit 27RBS Travel Trailer and couldn’t be happier with it. I started this site because I was doing so many mods to my current TT that I thought others could benefit from it, and maybe even save a few trade-in dollars. [Image Removed by User]

I’ve thought about trading, but that was just a fleeting thought. I love “doing the mod” and there are many more for me to do. It’s like a good set of broken in shoes. Why get new ones?
