I, like many other's who have posted to this forum, have recently acquired a travel trailer…mine being a '07 Kampsite for my family.  I have never RV'd before so am learning a lot but I have to admit, the need to mod it is already materializing…things with the TT are good, but they could always be better Cool

I also have to admit, moding seems to be an addiction.  Being an engineer, moding seems a natural path for quite a few things I am into.  It mainly started 10 years ago when I got my first reef tank which is a world in itself for moding.  I have done mods on my truck which will be used for towing, my Impreza STI…cycling and house projects have all sucumb to moding but now, a TT <sigh>.  Is there a 12 step program I should be looking into?

I see a lot of potential with what could be done as well as a lot of useful mods documented on this site.

NICE!

Welcome!

It sounds like you have the modding gift.  I'm still working on the talent - but I definitely now have the addiction part!

Thanks…

Just returned yesterday from our maiden voyage and I would have to say land yatching is nice!  I am glad though that we chose a place very close to home, 15 minutes, as I read from many sources that you need to sort things out on how to stock your RV without overloading.

So a few trips home to gather forgtton items along with grabbing my ladder to get on top to sort out an intial leak on the slideout.  All in all, things turned out OK.

I purchased a Hunter thermostat to replace the inconsistant DouTherm but was not certain of the hook-up without my laptop in the RV.  I am also going to replace all of the internal bulbs with LEDs.

Looking at also adding a HD antenna and maybe some of the other nice mods located on this site.
