Hello to all, my name is Jim and I've been reading a lot of the mods & ideas on this site for almost a week. Recently acquired a 2001 Class A R-vision Trail-lite RV w/8.1L V-8 on a 24' Workhorse chassis. Looks like I'll have lots of fun “modding” it to get the best out of it.

Welcome to the forums RVnewbie! Glad you like the site. Mods can be addictive so be careful getting started. They can easily consume all of your free time.
So how do you like having the 8.1L in a 24 footer? Must have some good power. I had a 35' Gulfstream Endura Super C with the 8.1L gasser and even when towing a 5000 lb. truck, it still had really good power.

Haven't really taken it out yet since we got it. Does throw your head back a bit running empty. Be towing the boats in no time, but I'd really like to implement some of the mods here first to combat some of the “typical” issues first. All I've had time for, so far, is recovering upholstery and replacing the jack-knife couch (wife “disliked” the floral pattern ). Waiting on parts to arrive for replacing the tub/shower and toilet, then it's on to cabinet doors and stuff. Previous owner must have spent a lot of time in this one, just not on it.
