I have just purchased a 2010 Coachman Freedom Express LTZ by Forest River and it has no rear bumper. I'd like to purchase a square tube type bumper if I could locate where to buy one then I'd like someone to tell me how to securely fasten it to the frame as it seems the trailer is not made to have one. Obviously the designer is not a lover of bicycles. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forums COACHMAN! Is the model you have a toy hauler (TH)? If so, is there room in the garage to put your bikes? And if it is a TH and you want to carry your bikes on the rear of the trailer, you will have to use a swing-away bike rack and have a receiver welded to the frame of the TH.

Good morning: No,my coachman is not a Toy Hawler. If you would like to take a good look at the unit go to a site called Wholesale RV Club then to “Coachman ” then to “Freedom Express 232 model” They have a great viewing of my trl. Surely someone out there has had to add a bumper to a trl when none existed. TKS

In my searching I've noticed that other models of trls made by Forest River do have rear bumpers. I'm guessing that they may be using the same frame for these trls. I can't tell by the pictures but I plan to check out a local dealer and have a good look underneath to see if a bumper can be either bolted or welded to the frame. As soon as I have an answer I'll be back to you.
