Hello all!

I am investigating converting our generator (Yamaha EF2400IS) to a “tri-fuel” system.

There are a couple of conversion kits available to do this:

Per the above, there are a couple of different approaches to do this (drilling a carb or a ring btw the carb and air cleaner (to provide the gas). 

Has anyone converted their Honda 2000 or Yamaha 2400's to tri-fuel? If so, happy w/ the move?

All,

    I ended up going with option #1 above (the non-drilled carb route).  After ordering the kit, it showed up in about 7 days (very quick shipping).  It was easy to install and adjust.  I first tried it out on natural gas (at our house), then later tuned it for propane after trying it out on the trailer.  Works like a charm.

   We have a 4 day trip coming up and will have to use the generator… looking forward to it

Smile Hi, I like this idea. I also have a Yamaha 2400 and would like to run it on propane so I don't have to carry a gas can. I want to tap into my trailer's propane supply.  So I would also need some hoses and connectors on top of the $187.00 for the kit, right?
