I would like to see some mods that moders have done with the various tire pressure monitors that are available on the market today…..I would like the pro's and con's of the various ones….None are cheap…
OOPs, sorry that I missed the one that was done using a motor home….I should have said one that would work with the 8 tires on a tow vehicle and towed vehicle plus the 2 spare tires…..for a total of 10 tires….

I have a pressure pro, that i mounted to the dash with velcro, to monitor the 5'ver tires. the down side, their SLOW on response. two tire problems on the last trip, and I saw them, BEFORE the unit did.
But still, it's peace of mind, in case I am more into a conversation, or a song!

It looks like the Pressure Pro sensors transmit at 1 minute intervals. I wonder if this is frequent enough. Unless you hit something that causes a quick deflation of a tire, the sensor transmission interval might only be good enough for slow leaks. I think a slow leak is more likely to occur so that's what the manufacturers design for.
Any one know if the sensor transmission intervals are adjustable? If not, are there other sensors that have more frequent transmission intervals?

If you increase the sensor time interval you decrease the battery life. It can be done, but people would complain about replacing the sensors so often at a cost.. Once strides are made in battery technology, we can implant cell phones in people, and every tire will have it's own sensor lasting the life of the tire.

I guess you just can't satisfy everyone! There have been some significant advances in battery technology recently but not on a scale required for small packaging. Of course, when batteries do become efficient enough for lifetime applications, they will be so expensive, no one will be able to afford them. Low volume due to fewer sales so the cost has to come from somewhere…
