has anyone added a remote on/off switch in the rv for a suburban elec/gas dsi water heater?

In your circuit breaker panel isn't there a circuit breaker for the Water heater?  If so I would think it would not be too difficult to break one of the wires at the heater element and run the same size wire to a wall mounted switch…..I am no electrician but it would seem to me it would work……..
