Ok, here is my problem. Due to my own stupidity the water lines froze in my “73″ Life Time Imperial. So now it's time to redo the plumbing. I plan on going to PEX. Right now it looks like it is done in 1/4″ copper. This seems small to me. Would it be better to go to 3/8″ or should I just use 1/4″? Any help or advise would be great. Thanks to all in advance.

1/4″ plumbing is very small. It’s the same size used for refrigerator water supply. I would recommend going to 1/2″ PEX, which is the standard size for late model RVs. Going to 1/2″ is probably going to be a big task since you will need not only new piping but also the fittings to go with it.

Are you sure your plumbing is 1/4″? I haven’t seen plumbing systems for a 70’s RV since I was a kid and my dad had the same thing happen to him. Water was everywhere once the pipes thawed. He left the pump on…lol

It's 1/4″ copper. Looks like a PO redid it at one point in time.  It did seem to work unitl it froze. Then the fun began. Water every where !!  Well I will go to my supplier (Menards) tomorrow and start collecting materials. That way when the weather breaks a little (to much snow and ice right now in Mi.) I can get it done before the season starts up here in the great white north. I was doing some of the math and it looks like I can do the mod for right around 100 $ using the shark bite type fittings and a potable water type pex (100 ft roll should do it)
