Leaf spring flip

Has anyone ever fliped the leaf springs (not axles) on their Rv?

I have a toyhauler which is too high.  The axles is below the springs and cannot be flipped due to low grey tank piping.  I would like to lower the 4Klbs tag along 3 to 4″ to level out and reduce drag.  Would flipping the springs be a bad idea?  I know this was done to lowrider trucks back in the day.

Any other suggestions?

A couple problems I would see is the wheels might rub and could blow out. I know that with chopping up street cars the wheels will rub on in the inner well causing them to wear faster. I'm still new with the Rv's but from the pics I have seen you may run into this problem.
