This is in response to billncheryl's request in Mods Wanted.

With digital TV coming I got rid of the old clunker and did this mod.

Here's the old

Clunker is gone. Nice storage area.

New flat screen.

Storage area and roll out shelf behind.

The unit is piano hinged at the top and double litched at the bottom

I dicided against using a hinge on the side due to not enough strength on either side.

Here's another pic showing how it's held up.  See the metal clip on the left side. Thats where the broom handle is stored when not in use.   I thought about gas shocks but didn't want to lose storage space.

It is held at the top by one piano hinge.
