On my Bounder I had a leak over the driver's side in the corner near the satellite cabinet. I resealed my front seam, replaced all running lights and resealed the front seam again with eternabond, resealed the antennas, and resealed the satellite dish, a wind up Winegard 4600. NO luck! Still water coming in around the satellite cabinet.
The location of the satellite antenna is a good three feet from where the leak was.
I then found a drain hole on the satellite base. The hole normally faces the rear of the RV. The manual states that a drain tube should be in the hole in the base and caulked. Mine wasn't neither was a friends Winnebago.
I took a piece of ice maker hose, fit perfectly in the hole, and installed it per directions in the Winegard installation manual. Caulked around the tube, inserted the tube 1/2 inch in the hole, and caulked around the hose to hold it in place. I also made sure that the caulk on the base of the antenna did not allow any lakes to form (Cut a rain channel in the caulk with a knife.)
It just rained cats & dogs and so far no water.
Remember drain holes do not always drain to where they need to. Check the obvious, the check everything else. This fix is not RV Brand Specific!!!
