Smile Hi, my tongue jack stand is made with four indentations in it designed to hold the inner tube from slipping all the way to the bottom of the outer tube, which is the foot or base of my electric tongue jack. After so much use, the four indentations seem to be getting worn. The result of this is that when I connect my trailer to my tow vehicle, raise the jack, and try to remove the stand, it gets stuck and hard to remove. I dreamed up an idea and hoped the measurements would work. I went the the hardware store and bought a large washer in the same size as the inner diameter of the stand. At first it was a little bit loose fitting, so I took a small ball peen hammer and winged it slightly so that the washer had to be tapped into place. Now my tongue jack stand comes off very easily when connected to my tow vehicle. Only a few minutes work and about fifty cents for the washer. In the picture with the stand and the washer next to each other the washer looks very small, that is because the camera was close to the stand. Optical illusion.
