A/C cools great—when it will run. Most of problem is at night. It usually runs fine during the day (but not always). But always at night, once it cycles off it will not come back on. By turning it off in the AM and back on about 10-11 AM it will come on and usually run all day. 

Have replace thermostat and circuit board.

ANY IDEAS??????

Have the capacitors been checked?  Sounds like the start-run capacitor may be breaking down.
