The majority of the mods found on ModMyRV.com were performed by the site owner, Mark Corgan, to his own RVs. Some of the mods were gathered from other mod enthusiasts around the web and re-written to fit in to the format of our Mods pages. See the Resources section of ModMyRV.com for a list of links to other mod sites and blogs where some of these mods have come from. Finally, a few of the mods have been submitted by members of the ModMyRV.com site and are noted as such in the details of each mod. Most mods on ModMyRV.com are perfectly safe to do to your RV. As outlined in our terms and conditions however, every RV owner should use their own best judgment as to the safety of performing any mod. Therefore, all liability is assumed by the person doing the mod. We’re just here to give you all the information and resources you need to do the mods you’re interested in. As for your RV’s warranty, some mods may void your warranty, or at least part of it. If for some reason you have a failure of the part of the RV you have modified, chances are your warranty will not cover it. Check with your RV manufacturer for their stance on the mod. And get it in writing!

You certainly can! We encourage it. You can submit as many of your mods as you want. Just go through some of the mods already listed to both ensure there aren’t any duplicates, and to see what the content flavor is like. Then submit your mods along with pictures to admin@modmyrv.com. We don’t any have other way to submit mods through the site at this time. But we are working on it!

We will go through each submission to ensure completeness and then post the mods. You will be given full credit and will be notified once the mod is posted. We thank you for your contribution!

In order to leave a comment about a mod, you must first register and become a member of ModMyRV.com. This can be done by clicking here or by visiting the ModMyRV forums and registering there. Follow the simple instructions to register. Once you have finished and are logged in, you can start leaving comments.

To leave a comment, visit the Mods page, and click on the comments link just below the mod picture of the mod you wish to comment on. You will go to the mod detail page where you can comment until your heart’s content. Your first comment is moderated, meaning it requires approval by the site administrator before it is visible. Once approved, you may comment again without any further approval necessary.

Rating allows people to vote on whether they like a particular mod or not. It helps other people quickly determine the popularity, rank, or usefulness of a mod. One star means the rater felt the mod was very poor, three stars means the mod was good and useful, and five stars means the mod was excellent and very useful.

To rate a mod, as with comments, you must first register and become a member of ModMyRV.com. This can be done by clicking here or by visiting the ModMyRV forums and registering there. Follow the simple instructions to register. Once you have finished and are logged in, you can start rating mods. To rate a mod, simply go to the mod, hover your mouse over the star you think the mod should get, and click. Your rating will update the overall rating and the stars will display the overall average of all ratings. You will not be able to rate the mod again so be sure to rate it correctly the first time.

The difficulty of a mod is determined by the person who performed the mod based on how much effort, expense, and satisfaction gained by doing the mod. This rating is obviously subjective and can vary based on the mod skills of the rater. If you are comfortable with welding, then adding a cargo carrier to your RV’s back bumper is easy and you would give such a mod maybe 3 stars. But if you have no welding experience at all, you might rate it very difficult giving it 5 stars. The rating also serves to give a reader a quick idea of what he can expect when tackling the mod.

The mod difficulty rating, unlike voter rating, cannot be changed by a member, only by the author of the mod or an administrator.

The ModMyRV.com eBook is available in EXE, or executable, format for Windows XP and Vista only. It is guaranteed to be virus-free, so you need not worry about running it on your computer. However, a PDF version of the ebook will be made available soon for those that don’t have Windows XP or Vista.

To purchase an ebook, click on the “Buy Now” button on the Resources page or on the page about the eBook. You will be directed to PayPal to submit your payment. If you don’t have a PayPal account, don’t worry. You can pay with a regular credit card. ModMyRV.com never stores any of your credit card information. The transaction is completely handled securely by PayPal. Once your payment has been processed, you will be redirected to a page containing a link to download your ebook and instructions on how to activate it. You will also receive an email with the activation code. Use this code to fully activate your ebook and get on with the mods!
